I'm still having trouble bending the capstrips for the station 3 rib. Ribs 1, 2 and 3 all use 10x15 mm capstrips which are pretty thick for the bend those leading edges, close to the root of the wing, need to take. I've busted several capstrips using several different methods. Steaming, boiling, soaking... I had to cut some capstrips out myself with the table saw because I broke the western aircraft pieces.

I finally got it to bend using a combination of soaking overnight and then boiling the crap out of it for over an hour.

Even that didn't work once. I thought about ditching this method and using the current (?) Sequoia method of making the leading edge part of the rib, forward of the front wing spar out of solid spruce with a lightening hole. This is mentioned in a post in the skunkworks section of the Sequoia website. We'll see how it goes with the #1 and #2 ribs.
