I ordered a metal cutting bandsaw blade for the variable speed benchtop bandsaw that I'm borrowing to cut out the metal. It arrived yesterday, so I put it to good use. Man, it's like night and day. This thing cuts like a hot knife through butter. Both the angle and the sheet cut very quickly and with minimal heat. Most of these are the sheet part of the hinges that get riveted to the angle to make a hinge. I also drilled a few mounting holes and some bearing holes. I've decided it's better to try to get those big bearing holes right first, before I do the final sanding and polishing of the edges.
