I had a couple midterms this week on top of work so I've been pretty busy lately. My friend Jon came over today to help out. I'm actually running out of things to do with my tail wood so I had him help out with some odds and ends, and start out a main wing rib capstrip bending jig. I'll be getting the wing wood sometime in November.

I worked on the plywood cover for the main fin spar. The cover consists of two different sections of plywood, of two different widths. The bottom half is 2 mm and the top half is 1.5 mm. I combined the two with a 15-1 scarf using the same jig that I used to make the 10 ft long elevator cover. Since the 15-1 slope is longer on the 2mm plywood the bump of the joint is on the aft face, not the glued face as shown in the blueprints.
