I laid out the elevator spar today. The other two tail spars are tapered spars, so I'm finishing off these easier ones first. I used the edge of the table as a reference to draw the 10 foot centerline and then I checked it with the nylon cord to make sure it was straight.

The cord was too thick so I switched over to a black thread which was plenty thin. I raised it slightly off the surface to make sure there was no interference with the straightness of the thread. I ended up redrawing the middle portion of the centerline after I checked it with the thread.
