I had been pondering how to actually glue the scarf joints together for a while now. I had this idea to cut out the middle of a board and use that space to clamp it in the right direction to put pressure on the glue joint. I also had to clamp the frame to its mold and keep it flat in order to ensure I joined it in the right shape. The halves tend to constrict a little after they're glued. I didn't have a board to use for this until I realized this cut out jig piece would work just fine. Now I can use this method to join the other frames. I used aerolite for the scarf joint and protected the jig with plastic wrap.
