Tonight, I scarfed the inside edge of the center trailing edge skin. The manual says you don't have to do this if the little piece of plywood is added to the middle section to make a continuous scarf along the spar, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to just make the matching scarf anyway. It wasn't the easiest thing to do with the drum sander mounted in the electric drill but it seemed to work well enough.
After the scarf was done, I used the upside down tape method to match the inside structure to the inside of the skin and then varnished the enclosed areas.
