I've been soaking the outer leading edge elevator skins for a couple days now. These suckers were ready to bend! I bent them around and marked where the aft of the spar goes to trim off the extra so that I could use the innertube material to wrap around the spar. There are notes in the manual about what to do about the very tip. I pretty much followed the suggestion to cut the leading edge at the end where it puckers up from being pinched in, then stapling the skin there to close down on the tip bow. The skin doesn't need to wrap around the tip bow because everything will get cleaned up and sanded smooth and pretty after the elevator and stabilizer are done so that I get a smooth, matching wing tip. For now, here's the skin all bent in place for both sides. I'll probably let these sit here for a couple days.
