I've realized now that I can't really mix more than one pump of epoxy without the stuff kicking off before I use it all. It has been in the 70's and 80's weather-wise but I'm using the 207 west system hardener which is supposed to be slower. Maybe I'm just slow but I really don't want to varnish the wrong surfaces. I've wasted a lot of epoxy and now I've run out of the stuff. I'll have to order more before I can finish varnishing the interior of the elevator. Since this is supposed to be done before I glue the leading edge on, that will have to wait too. I did varnish the leading edge almost to the tip but I haven't glued on the tip bows yet, so I couldn't go all the way out. I was just starting on the flip side of the elevator spar when I ran out.
